The Biobox (Biobox new Revision 1.2021.3) template is used to present basic information about a person who is a performer in pictorials or films. It can be used instead of the older {{Biobox}} template. It is fully downward compatible and preserves all data given in the old biobox.

For fictional characters, use the {{fictional}} template.

Parameters

• New parameters not containted in the old {{biobox new}} v3 template are green. Remember that you have to add these new parameters manually.
• Old and now deprecated parameters (But can be use) in the new {{biobox new}} v4 template are red.
• Old and now deprecated parameters (Removed) are struck through.
• Parameters that can be referenced have "yes" in the ref column.
• Parameters compatible with Porn Base Data.
• Since version 4 the Authority control has a complete dependency from PBD and cannot be configured through the parameters in Biobox.

There are two exceptions: If a name contains disambiguation, use the person's actual name here. Example: name = Phenix Saint gives  Phenix Saint  in the biobox, but the page name is Phenix Saint (MEN.COM).
image	-		An image of the person. Example: image = ImageName.jpg
imagecaption	-		If set, displays just below the image. Remember that the person's name is typically displayed just above the image anyway, so only include a caption if it has something extra to say. It may be helpful to include the date or place of the photo.
photo	-		not used since Biobox3
real name	yes		Real name of the person, if he is primarily known by a pseudonym or nickname. See PBC:Real name policy.
native name	yes		Native name of the person. The person's real name in their own language, if different.
alias	yes		Other names used professionally by the person. Do not add the article name itself here, or a real name, unless they have used it professionally.
nicknames	yes		Nicknames used professionally by the person. Example: Yusaf "Mack Attack" Mack
birth month birth day birth year birth ref	- - - yes		Month (August, aug, 8), day (14 without "th") and year (1980) of birth. Existing pages: The new biobox can easily be applied to existing pages by changing the {{Biobox to {{Biobox new at the beginning of a page. Existing data in now deprecated parameters is preserved, but will be overridden as soon as the new parameters are specified. Remember that you have to add these new parameters manually as they did not exist in the old biobox.

New pages: For new articles, the infobox may be added by pasting the template as shown below. All fields are optional, though ideally you should be able to fill in something. :) If any fields do not apply, or the information is unknown, you can leave them blank to be filled in later.

Troubleshooting

If you added an Biobox and it didn't display correctly, here are the common errors:

• You used a made-up or invalid parameter. You can only use parameters that have been pre-programmed into this Biobox template.
• You misspelled the parameter name or omitted necessary punctuation.
• You capitalized the parameter name. Parameters are case sensitive. Nearly all Bioboxes use lowercase parameter labels.
• You used the parameter name more than once: only the final instance displays.

My edits to a parameter are ignored

This could be a sign that the parameter name is not one of those recognized by the Biobox that you are using. You should also check that the parameter is not being specified more than once, as only the last mention of a parameter has any effect.
